2020 was not a great year for many of us, but, it did have some highlights!
We missed out on all our events and plans as the year rolled on, but it did give us the time to dedicate to building Michael Middleton Ceramics into what it is today and for that we are grateful!
We built the wood-fired kiln. From the ground up, literally, and now we have a fantastic addition to our business. After 2 pretty successful learning fires we are now very ready for our first full firing in March. You can follow our story on our Instagram and Facebook.
We built a brand, and we love the look and feel of Michael Middleton Ceramics. Our followers and supporters have all been so positive about the new website, online store and the brand and we are gaining traction every week. If you follow us, please share our pages as much as possible so more and more people can enjoy Michael Middleton Ceramics. Thank you.
We featured in Sand and Sisal blog, which was wonderful and we continue to raise awareness of the Corolla Wild Horse Fund in OBX helping them with funding to continue their great work looking after the wild mustangs that roam the beaches here.
We started some new traditions with the Christmas ornament 2020, and sold loads of them, which we are thrilled about! We will be launching the 2021 Christmas Ornament a little earlier this year!
One of our biggest successes was being asked to create a piece for the International Museum of the Horse which stands at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. This was a huge honor for Michael Middleton Ceramics and we are excited about this new relationship and all the planned events and activities with them over the coming months! This Smithsonian museum is the epicenter of the horse world and we will soon be on display there, so watch this space for more news on this!
So, whilst 2020 absolutely sucked on many levels, we can look back with pride on just how far we have come, and look forward to seeing just what 2021 has in store for us!
